Do you check this before you eat in New York ?

Well lately I figured out that would be better for me to check how restaurants passed health department inspections so I started to check this website
http://www.nyc.gov/html/doh/html/rii/index.shtml (when you get to that page click on "Restaurant inspection results online") before I go out or before I order some food from my neighbouring restaurants. You might wanna check your favorite restaurant, pizzeria or favorite food shop. I had some big and unpleasant surprises.

for other states please call your own state health department

well some people dont care what they eat as I see, I personally find it's important to know for example they don't have water running in the restrooms cause I wouldn't like to eat after they use it and don't wash hands and this is just one example.. I wrote this here for people who care how their food it's stored, prepared and served.

I don't check it, because I really don't want to know.

It is nice to just suspend disbelief and go and eat at my favorite places and imagine them to be the cleanest and safest restaurants ever!

And I know they're not...but I eat out a lot, and I'm not going to stop.

For what it is worth, even some of the city's top restaurants get bad marks on their inspections!
