As a mature individual YES. If you aren't mature enough to be in a relationship in the first place, NO.
I am friends with most of my ex's. We parted for many different reasons, but as long as there was no MAJOR issue, there is no reason you shouldn't continue to be friends.

I agree with the previous dude ...Yes, it 's possible at some point to stay friend with your ex ..it depends on how the relationship ended and for what reason ...if the relationship ended in good terms, there is great chance that you get over the issue , and become friends again , and even very good ones, even if you know the person you loved once is with someone else ..but, you gotta be mature enough to separate friendship and love ....and one of the reason it might be like this if only you loved each other and realized both that the relationship is not gonna work in the long run anymore ...I would definitely answer yes, to that question ..

Of course u can be friends with ur ex.....I have a ex, and we still keep in touch, even though he goes to another school, we call each other, and write, well not write but call!!

maybe i say it depends on the people and how the relationship ended. me i could not do it because you always have special feelings for that person and i just would not want to up that can of worms up

yeah.. you gotta try though. it will be kinda awkard at first, but you will get used to it. its the things you guys have in common that brought you guys together. so you guys can be really good friends too.

well you get to know them heaps wehn ur going out dont you! so you'll know heaps about them!
my bested friend ever is my ex. he's gay now and we've never been closer! we know everything there is to know about eachother. and we share everything!
