I dont thing you have to tip them. My mom give them candy. She always keep a candy dish by the door. If I work for Fedex or Ups, I would prefer the candy over money any way.

Give them both the same tip that I have seen others do. A good tip is to tell them not to bet on the horse races. I have gotten that tip myself plenty of times and you know what,it is a good tip.

I always tip these guys and the garbage man . these guys work
like dogs . My UPS guy puts packages in my back breezeway
when it rains . He goes the extra distance.
18 bucks an hour is nothing

No, you shouldn't tip them as they get paid a pretty decent wage and tipping is no longer de rigeur.
