Please, no disgusting stuff about how boys convert. I know all that, no need to go into details. Also, what are the Jewish holidays? I know a few, but not all of them. What are some Jewsih customs? Again, this applies only to girls. Why do Jews celebrate these holidays?

And one last thing: please dont insult Jews in you answer. Thank you.

The process for conversion is basically the same for men as it is for women. Both involve a lot of study. Both involve immersion in a mikveh (ritual bath). Both involve an acceptance of the entire Torah and all its mitzvot (though some are specific to men, and some are specific to women). And both include the convert choosing a Hebrew name for him or herself. Conversion for guys include bris milah (circumcision), which of course is not applicable to women.

And if you want to do it right, conversion to Judaism (for men and women) has to be done under the supervision of a qualified beis din (a Jewish rabbinical court).

For information on the Jewish holidays and other observances, I would recommend the following resources:

http://www.jewfaq.org - Judaism 101, a primer for a lot of Jewish topics, including the holidays

http://www.aish.com - Aish HaTorah; A Jewish outreach organization, their website includes a lot of informative articles.

http://www.aish.com/wallcam/conversion_to_judaism.asp - Here's a short piece Aish did specifically about conversion.

I hope all this helps, and best of luck to you in whatever you decide.

If you know this little about Judaism, I'd advise you to study with a Rabbi. There is not enough space here to do you justice.

If your mother is Jewish, you do not need to do anything--you are considered Jewish. But, again-I would study, to fully learn it.

If your father is Jewish, you must convert as anyone would. It will take a couple of years of study before they will convert you. And, they will try to dissuade you for 3 times before taking you seriously-this is done for all people.

You cannot be half Jewish. According to Judaism, if your mother is Jewish then you are Jewish. If your father is Jewish you are not Jewish.
If you want to be Jewish, you only need to convert if your father is Jewish.

I didn't know you could be a half-jewish girl meaning you follow half the religon? Or in the sense that one of your parents are jewish? I would ask a rabbi.

Well, I'm fully Jewish and I am proud of every minute of it! I kinda young, so I'm not too knowledgable of converting, but I'm sure you know about Chanukkah!!! I also love learning hebrew!

Find a Rabbi someplace near where you are, and ask. Just about any answer you get from here will either be the same, or someone talking out of their ***.

Well if you are already half Jewish why don't you just ask your parent that is Jewish? Would they not be the best person to ask?
