My children are 12, 13, 15, 17, 18, 22, and 23. All of them are handicapped in one way or another. It hurts so much I don't know what I have done wrong. I have tried so hard for them to have the perfect life. But was I proved wrong. My 12 yr old is destroying his own life he calls the police on me, hes been in the psychatric center 2 times now.And as usual they say nothing is wrong. My 13 yr old is critically ill and it gets harder to handle every day. My 15 yr old has been placed because of his behavior. my older 4 are just completely messing up there lives and I don't know how to stop them from destroying there lives.
I want so bad to run away and forget about all of this, but I can't because I am a mother. So what do I do?

HIT YOUR KNEES AND PRAY!!

The Lord will give you strength. Use his strength to make decisions and carry you on.

Is there a father figure here? You don't mention one.. If so lean on him for support as well. Contact a local church. Many people would love to help you with daily household things to just take some of the stress off of you.

Good Luck!

you have to hang in there
i have adopted a disabled son myself-and yes it is overwhelming
just remember-you are not giving anything you can't handle-my patience have also been questioned. when you feel at the end of your ropes, just remember it can always be worse--a major accident can occur at any time--and need to be thankful for the minutes, hours, and days we have. try getting involved with you children in a church program--most have youth programs for kids
just remember--they may be handicapped--but they are still kids with big hearts--they just don't understand all of their feelings and emotions to deal with themselves, so you need to be their heart and just be patient, it is for a reason.

You really need to go and get some help from some of the governmental agencies - there are professionals out there who can help.

You have too much on your plate for one person to deal with.

Good luck!
