that's a rare thing if the person doesn't turn out to be a creep or even if it actually works out. i've been there, done that and it was the WORST decision of my life. Might be that way for everyone but it was MY experience. If that's the road you're going down, i wish you good luck. it's very difficult to have a long distance relationship.

i don't know if you can fall in love with the person but sometimes you can have very strong feelings for someone online. it can confuse you, making you think it's true love when it very well may not be.

You are being honest, right? How can you be 100 percent sure that your on-line friend is being as honest in turn. For example, there are tons of stories about on-line predators, ancient (male) pervs who go into teen chat rooms and make "dates" with unsuspecting and naive teenagers. They are most definitely not interested in love relationships!
It's too easy to misrepresent (to put it politely) yourself on the internet. And too easy to fall in love with the idea of being in love.
If it's love, meet the guy first -- in a very public place and possibly even with a friend (or relative). See how he/ it feels in person. Then build from that.
If love is really in the air, it'll be there, face to face.
Be careful. Be wise. And, good luck!

Do be careful. It is easy to say over the internet how you feel, but these are only feelings with words. The only way to be sure is to meet BUT and it is a big BUT if you are a young girl please let your parents know what you are doing on the internet and if you do decide to meet, ask your emailer if it would be alright to meet so long as your parents come along. If you do not receive a reply then do not go on your own.

I met my husband online in Yahoo Chat we talked for a long time online before I ever sent him a pic or he sent me one. We talked even longer before I'd allow him to have my home number or I'd take his. Once the numbers were exchanged we agreed after a period of time to meet in a public place the second he greeted me by hugging me hello something in me clicked and I knew he would be the man I'd marry. Online he'd joke saying he was going to marry me but I always blew him off. We are happily married with a lovely 7 month old son and if it wasnt for the internet I would have never known he was out there and I'd still be kissing the frogs trying to find my prince.

I had one girl say that she loved me from the second day that we started talking on here, and we only knew each other for 2 weeks in total. I don`t think it is possible for you to fall in love at the drop of a hat, a partnership needs to be worked at, anything else is just lust and appreciation.

I have never fallen in love with someone online because the contact is not that atrong, i am far away in Africa and those who fall in love with me are in other continenets, i find it not interesting and a waste of time since there are many men after my love just around me.

Anythings possible and everyone's got a story but my advice would be to proceed with caution and not get too caught up in an only online relationship, as how you interact in person may not be the same online.

Yes of course. Love isn't encouraged only by proximity, but, by common goals and interests. You can certainly explore that on line, maybe even more than in person, where the temptation of physical contact sometimes over runs the converations!
