Jesus is the Son.

John’s baptism was due to be replaced by the baptism commanded by Jesus: “Make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit.” (Mt 28:19) This was the only water baptism having God’s approval from Pentecost, 33 C.E., forward. Some years after 33 C.E., Apollos, a zealous man, was teaching correctly about Jesus, but he had an understanding of only John’s baptism. On this matter he had to be corrected, as did the disciples whom Paul met at Ephesus. These men in Ephesus had undergone John’s baptism, but evidently after its valid performance had ended, since Paul’s visit to Ephesus was about 20 years after the termination of the Law covenant. They were then baptized correctly in the name of Jesus and received holy spirit.—Ac 18:24-26; 19:1-7

the proper way in which baptism was administered in ancient days was as follows the person repenting of his sins would come forward and the person having authority yes i said authority from God to baptize would say something along the sort "having authority granted me from Jesus Christ I hereby baptize you in the name of the Father, the Son and of the Holy ghost. then the person having the authority would immerse the person completely under water in symbolism of the grave the old person dies and then back out of the water a new person being born hence born again.. then afterwards someone who had authority from God to give the Holy ghost would lay their hands upon their head and Give them the gift of the HolyGhost. Since the apostles where chased away men have started many churches and vain ideas of baptism..some are quite foolishing supposing that God would save one infant because of baptism and another must be doomed to never ending torment because he wasnt is just plain demented all children are saved because God is perfect and just. Baptism was taught to sinners never once in the bible was a kid baptized they were all old men an women again never was it a kid.. kids have no reason to repent only us evil parents.. again its like saying Church is only for good people when Gods Church is really for sinners as those that are not sick do not go the doctor only those who are sick. I know I sidetracked from your question but i wanted you to understand the Bible and the world are 2 different things.. If you are unsure of anything ask God in Christ name in faith and he will reveal the truth to you do not ask man or you will fall into trouble for when the blind lead the blind both fall in the ditch.. now to your question The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit are in fact 3 seperate personages however they are one in the same purpose, United in purpose. The Father is jus what it says The Father of all that Lives The Son which is Jesus is his Firstborn in Heaven I would suppose I am probaly his 10000000000000000000 Billionth Born..Lucifer was his second born however like cain, Lucifer rejected his Father's advice and sought His Father's throne but he fell becoming miserable forever he now seeks to make all mankind miserable like him.. The Holy Ghost is a spirit and shall forever remain a spirit never receiving any kind of Body of flesh or bone but instead comes inside of others Bodys and testifys to the truth of things the warm tingly feelings you get like the one you got reading this is the Holy spirit whenever you feel that tingling you can be sure whatever it is true and from God.. The Holy Spirit can only be in one person at a time however he is easiest described when compared to the sun the sun is in one place yet we all feel the warmth from it.. the Holy spirit allows God to know er not know but rather Discern everything at once.. and all 3 of em make up the God head which purpose is to bring to pass the immortality and the eternal life of man

Because the church, not the Bible, prescribes the words of the official rite of baptism.
