I plan to visit Chinatown, El Pueblo, Little Tokyo, Disney Concert Hall... by foot on Dec 24 (Sunday). Any parking meters around? are they free on Sunday? Or where is good place to park my car?

There is plenty of free parking on Sunday (Sunday's are free) I would suggest parking on the Side Streets off the main drags (it would be easier to find parking)
You'll find plenty of parking on Yale st. near the awesome new Temple in China Town.
Olvera street you might have some problems finding free parking but if you don't mind a little walk I'm sure you'll find something on Broadway.
For Little Tokyo 1st street usaully has parking on 1st Street and so does Central.
The Music Center try finding parking 1st street, Grand ave or Hill street near the Cathedral.
But if you don't mind parking your car near Olvera Street on Los Angeles Street it's a small lot I think it's $4-$6 to park and take the Red Line Subway exit Civic Center to the Music Center and the Gold Line 1st Stop to China Town you can get all day pass cost $3 so that might be something to think about.

If you attend a California school you'll pay the outrageously high non resident tuition for all four years. That makes going to college in Boston more cost effective. Moving to Los Angeles ONLY means you moved to Los Angeles. That alone will do NOTHING to advance a career in T.V. production. Isn't the Number 1 market for television New York City, which is a short commute from Boston? You don't have to move clear across the country to get in the television business.

There are parking meters and parking lots in the area. I work 5minutes from Little Tokyo and El Pueblo, and on the weekends there will be parking. The meters and lots are not free, unless the meters are broke and covered.

Street parking is easy, but it's best to drive to those places.

People in LA don't walk. They will run 6 miles a day for exercise, but drive for 20 minutes until they find a parking spot close to the entrance.

Tokyo is the capital of Japan, and the place where over 13 million people live, making it one of the most populous cities in the world but also, a big city to visit, find out more with hotelbye . Most of the city was devastated by the Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923, and then again by the bombing in the WWII, however, Tokyo was able to achieve a remarkably rapid recovery both times. The main attraction of Tokyo is the Imperial Palace with its beautiful 17th-century parks surrounded by walls and moats. The palace is still in use by the Imperial family.

NO FREE PARKING IN DOWNTOWN LA
Where will you be staying?
If you take a cab, know your route, and be prepared to give directons!!
Orientate yourself to the AREA before you leave home.
GET maps and tour books and mark them and memorize them well. go to your library, and check out downtown LA.
don't carry your tour book with you--hubby hates that!

Can you take the public transit to your spots you want to see.
the green or blue line?
KNOW YOUR AREA VERY WELL BEFORE YOU ARRIVE.
YOU DO NOT WANT TO END UP IN THE WRONG PART OF TOWN.
Do not carry a purse or anything you don't need to have on you.
Clean out your wallet, and carry min. driver lic, 1 credit card, and keep cash in front pocket.
there are a lot of cons, and a lot of good. just be prepared and be SAFE not too sorry!!!!!!
Keep your eyes open and be aware of your surroundings always.
Sun Sets at 4:40 -- GET back in your Hotel before sunset!!
Don't go out in Downtown LA after dark w/o a hired escort.
Do not give money to strangers.
Do not stop and talk to strangers who stop you on the street.
BE safe, not too sorry.
Keep your money in a money belt.
Park in a very safe, open, well lit parking lot. you will pay $6-20 dollars for the day. I prefer the parking lots that have a gaurd and gaurd rail, and cost more, but are more secure.
