I asked a guy out to a bar he said he would love to go took my number and called me later so i could have his number. The thing is what next ? do i have to call me and make arrangement for the day out or wait for him to call me? how is this done i am so confused cant even believe i asked him out i never done this before?

Don't worry - the fact that he called you to give you his number is a good sign, I feel.
