My one dog has a rash on his belly and the other one on her back near her tail, on her belly and down her legs. When they clean themselves in those areas they are both whimpering!!!! And they are constantly at it, trying to clean it ect!!

mi dog had a similar thing she had allergies we asked a vet and they told us to give her benadryl and that cleared it up and she also outgrew it

check out your yard where the dogs go, there is a nasty weed that is called stinging nettle and others that I happened to run up against one a few months ago pulling weeds, the pain and the itching was horrible, so imagine how your doggies feel.........depending on where you live, and the climate will determine what the dogs might be exposed too........i have used baby liquid benedryl about half a tsp full about 2 X a day to calm my dog down a bit,the itching and rash will go away hopefully soon for your dogs.........best of luck

my dog has the same problem...think its cause of the dry air in the house and they dont go outside as much in the winter. My vet said that I could just use a moisturizer on him a couple times a day. Has to be something mild, so I use a little baby lotion. There is stuff you can buy for "dry skin" or "hot spots" but I like home remedies.

It isn't a rash. They nibble at their stomach because it itches and they lose a bit of fur and it gets red because of the nibbling. Not to worry, try to buy flea shampoo for your dogs and it will go away within a few weeks.

Allegies maybe. Are they related in any way? You should take them to the vet, any rash could be a problem, and if they are allergic, you can find out what and get tips on how to prevent the reactions.

They are possibly allergic to fleas. My Aunt's dog is allergic to fleas and the same thing happens to him. Just buy them some strong flea medication and use it daily.

maybe it's the shampoo your using like people shampoo gives dogs rashes or it could be bug bites
