I was in this same situation at your age. Me and my best friend had known each other since we were born. I started to like her more than a friend at 14 and then at 15 I finally asked he out and she said yes . We are still together at 17 years old. It was awkward at first but then if was fine. It has been the best relationship I have been in. I say go for it because if he is really your friend and he does say no he will still be friends with you. Good luck.

If you feel like you really should, you don't want to mess up a good friendship if you break up.
