Ok, I'm 13, and I currently attend a public middle school. However, I have my crush in 3 of my classes, and I never ever talked to him, not even in 6th grade, when I started crushing on him. He sometimes asks me little questions, but I don't really answer the best answers in the world. So, I'm so shy in class that people probably think I'm mute. The only way I can talk is when someone else talks to me first. But, outside of class, I'm a whole different, wild person who's fun to be with. I really wish I could be like that in class, but I'm afraid that others will sneer at me or think I'm an idiot.
So, how do I work up the courage to talk to him? And any good conversation starters?

Try role playing with another friend. Maybe get one of your friends to ask for his number then call him. You just got to build up the courage and ask him before its too late. Good Luck Girl!!!!!!!

Ok well I think to start talking to him you should find out what he likes. If he is interested in a sport maybe talk about that or if your doing a group project, try to be in his group or if your doing partner projects be his partner. You just have to build up the courage to talk to him. Open up and just be yourself girl. Don't be annoying but be open and get to know him. Guys like girls who are assertive and are flirty. I am thirteen too so I've been there done that! Good Luck Girl!!

Hmmmmm.... Okay start out saying i dont get how to do the homework and he'll maybe explain it to you or you can get a friend to start talking to him than you say something connecting you and you friends conversation with him. For example,
Friend: So ________ whats your favorite sport?
Crush: Mines football whats yours?
You: My favorite sport is soccer
Friend: Mine is also soccer.

oh I'm the same way I'm so quiet in class but outside and outside with my friends I' m different. I used tomlike this boy and he was my friends brother, and when his sister and I stopped being friends I was afraid of what she had said about me , but i still started talking to him , I started caring less about what people said about me. when I talked to him after his sister had said things about I was nervous but I did it
