Why go on?

Question

It seems like the woman of my dreams has used me, lied to me, and done horrible things to me, why should i keep on living? I've already been crippled physically once, but this is way to much pain to deal with.

Women can and will do that stuff to you. What you need is a change of scenery, and remember that everyone (no matter what they say) is always alone in life, and will be alone in the end. There is nothing wrong with this concept, men are better at this, men are supposed to cultivate a sense of comfortable solitude from which they can come and go from. Imagine that you had a temporary phase where you got hurt, as you described, then you return to your own inner space, recharge and leave all petty thoughts behind, then from there you come out stronger, wiser, and more experienced. Life is a journey meant to be traveled alone to a great extent, and the people who will walk with you are more prone to part from you to go their own ways. The pain you feel is self-imposed (believe me, I've been there too many times) and you just have to say ^&$*-it! and go one with your life.

Most people have had someone they loved turn around and do something like this to them. I know I have. And it does hurt alot. Sometimes I honestly felt like my heart hurt after this happened to me.

You have to go on first of all (like the other answerer said) to spite them. But you also have to go on because there might be the real woman of your dreams out there and if you give up you will miss knowing her and she will never know you.

It's a cliche but time really does help and it helps to just take it one day at a time. Lean on your friends right now and try to stay busy. Cut off all contact with her and try to go different places and do different things than you did with her.
