the most expensive coffee in the world is called Kopi Luwak and it retails in the United States for about $300 per pound. This is supposed to be one really good cup of coffee.
What makes this coffee so good is the unique way in which it is processed. A tree-dwelling cat called the palm civet eats whole, ripe coffee beans. The beans pass through the cat almost completely unaltered

i've had the kopi luwak coffee & it's pretty good. not worth the $300/lb it usually sells for, though. one of my local coffee shops was selling it for $10/cup one day so my hubby bought a cup & made me try it.
