I think everyone feels like that sometimes.... and a lot of us feel like that all the time! It's not just you. Attending school is a positive step, even if you aren't getting good grades- at least you're trying! Do you have some hobbies that you could get into... maybe start a knitting circle or something? Even just playing a video game you like, reading a book, taking a hot bath, or coming to the internet for support- this are all things that could help you feel better. Maybe you should try a new haircut, or watch an inspiring talk show.
Don't worry, you'll be fine. And if none of this helps, it might be time to see a doctor or counselor about your feelings. It couldn't hurt.

Focus on the things that you are good at. Perhaps it's video games or reading, or map reading, or writing songs, or singing, or knowing just what gift to get for someone. Whatever it is, focus on it.
So you bombed the presentation. Big deal. School isn't life as pretty much anyone will tell you.
Is there someone in your life with whom you could talk about how you feel? Perhaps an interested 3rd party could offer some suggestions on how you could "get it"?
As far as "messing up everything" goes, are there any similarities between two/three/some of those things? Perhaps -- and I'm just making a guess here -- you are consistently not thinking through your decision. Well, for the next time you need to make a decision, think of 5 pros and 5 cons for that situation and THEN make a decision.
We have ALL felt like we've failed in life. The trick -- and this is VERY hard to do, believe me -- is to realize that a mistake was made and learn from it so it doesn't happen again. Sometimes it takes us lots of tries. :) Hang in there!

You are not a loser...losers don't even take courses at all. Keep on taking courses, & make one of those courses 'Public Speaking.' Just don't get stressed if you don't do as well as you think you could. Will it matter in 10 years, how well you did?
As for your weight, I've been on alot of diets & what REALLY WORKS is: Don't 'diet', change what you're eating & how much you're eating FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE. If not, you may lose, but you'll gain it back. Get rid of most of your junk food in the house. Don't skip meals. Also, don't sit around so much. Limit sitting to maybe 3 hours a day...(not all at once, of course.)
Try to take a walk every day. Walk briskly, not strolling. Then, when someone notices that you're losing, reward yourself with a new hairdo. Lose weight now before you get older. I waited & now my skin just hangs. Oh, and when you make somewhat important decisions, make them as if you were making the decision for your sister & not you, and I believe you will make better choices. Good luck.

Hi there, you are definitely not even close to the biggest loser in the world! Your problems with school are very, very common, especially for someone who has been out of school for a long time (that is if you are just starting school again after a long break). Most schools offer a free counselling service to students to help with personal problems as well as to help with study skills, and I have received a lot of help from that.
I see your story different from you. I see someone who is courageous enough to make a change in her life. Not everyone has the guts to go to school in their mid thirties. Keep working at it, keep asking for help when you need it (if you ask Yahoo Answers how to keep from getting nervous when doing presentations I'm sure you'll get a lot of good advice), and you will succeed.

I'm in the same boat as you. My siblings are successful, one is retired already, they have houses, retirement funds, health insurance! I don't even feel like I belong in the family. My sister talks about getting a pair of shoes on sale, "I only paid $75, they were 50% off!"...me? I buy my shoes at Payless, BOGO. They lavish my mom with gifts at Christmas...I used a gift certificate someone gave me for my birthday, to buy her a Christmas gift. I feel lousy because she just bought me a car, a used one, but a car nonetheless. My dad died on the 7th, he was in a nursing home for a year, I spent that year apologizing for being such a loser, for having such a hard time finding my way, for not being more like the others. I want to cry when my bf talks about his dreams for life because I just don't have any hope in my dreams anymore. At 32, I had a good job, was making good money, had all of my bills paid, then my back went out, (lost the job) my apartment burned (no renters insurance, lost most everything) my car was repossessed, I have bill collectors hunting me down, my wages are garnished. I work but don't have the physical ability to work more than 30 hours a week. My boss just gave us all a $100 gift card to Walmart for Christmas, that will get me some food, gas, etc. Keep me afloat till next payday. My bf pays for cable, DSL, half the rent. It's his computer I use. Before him, I sat in my apartment, no cable, no computer. I never went out, lived on PB&J, mac and cheese.
As far as giving you advice on confidence? Can't really help you out there. I just take life day by day, try not to think of yesterday and what could have been, and try not to think of the future. I try to find little bits of happiness everyday.

My best friend and I make fun of people to make ourselves better (like the guys in Clerks.) It really did wonders for my self esteem. Nobody is better then you and even people who seem perfect have their flaws. If someone can't take some good natured teasing, that's their problem. Give it a try, it is fun.

Its easy: motivate yourself to get a job: write your motivations, learn to breath/be calm: get rid of anxiety, accept yourself as you are: You can repeat this sentence: I accept myself fully as i am while you look at the mirror (trust me it works) and subscribe to the gym: Most IMPORTANT learn to motivate yourself. Take a piece of paper this way you wont forget your thoughts because of anxiety.
