I removed everything around it, brake pads and caliper and bracket. But the rotor will not come off. There are no washers holding the rotor in. Does it just take a beating or does it have to be heated?

If your replacing it, just hit it really hard with a heavy mallet and it should come off, may take like 3 hard hits, hit the shiny face on the rotor where the pads were contacting the rotors.

a good beating should do it. a little should help. if you do decide to heat make you heat the metal so it expands away from the hub instead of heating it so it gets stuck on tighter....but first i would stick with a large hammer.
