I don't blame you,,that is quite a lot for anyone to go through. Then you think of all the tragedys in the world and cant help but question God. The way I look at it is, God created earth and life, and we have to make of it what we will, he hopes we will make it good. However, it can't ever be as good as where he is or there would be no point coming here to have a life. To be complete whole spirits, we need to learn and feel pain as well as joy, and kindness, etc. As far as human ailments that seem so sensless, that is just our DNA and God wont do anything to change that, partly because he gave us wisdom to try to overcome those things. And look how many we have. Your dad whether he thinks so and you whether you think so are growing so much spiritually by dealing with this tragedy. You may not ever know how you've grown or what you've learned from it. Its not really for us to know now, but that we will know someday after we pass. That is what faith is all about, if you believe without the clear cut evidence.

God doesn't cause these things to happens. He permits people in their free will to make choices which have lead to there being accidents, viruses, cancers, etc. in this world. He can use these circumstances to make you a stronger person. Try to find someone who has it worse than you do and participate in a random act of kindness every day. Get involved with a good church. Talk to a counselor.

i'm sorry about what happened. but i've been thru mental illness, loss of family due to anger and hatred, migraines, allergies, asthma, almost died from physical pains, suicidal, and i still believe God is here cuz i survived. Things happen and it can make us wonder,. i just leave it in the hand of God. I know My mother will pass away at one time. And what i learned is that life treats the good people unfair. i guess the good are too good fro this earth. and probably heaven is their eternal sanctuary.

Let me ask you a question, do you really think God is the one that has done all of this to you? Or can you believe that maybe, just maybe it might have to do with something else, or someone else? In your Bible, in Genesis chapter one, it talks about how Adam and Eve sinned and lost the right to everlasting life, and a life without sin, and when they sinned from eating from the tree, like God had asked them NOT to do, they "would die in that day" and they did. In Peter it shows that a day with God is "1000 yrs., not just 24 hours long. Adam lived to be over 900 yrs. old, but he still died. When they sinned, and listened to Satan, they only could pass on to you and me, and those that we love, what they had, sin and death. Romans 5:12 says "through one man sin entered into the world, and through sin death spread to all mankind." Even though God gave his only begotten son for a ransom for us, that everlasting life and a life without pain and sorrow is in the future. We know this from when Jesus gave his Sermon On the Mount, "Matt. 5:3, "....the meek shall inhereit the earth." Then the promise in Revelation 21:1-4, "death will be no more." Then there are many more scriptures in Pslams. King David believed the "meek would inhereit the earth" as did many other Bible writers, such as in Proverbs, Daniel, Matthew, John and Luke.
No, God has not caused this to happen to you, nor your family. He is a God of LOVE, and a loving God would not do this to you to make you suffer for some unknown sin that you may or may have not committed. He will not take us out of the world either to protect us from these kinds of things happening. Think of what happened to Job. Classic example of Satan causing the suffering to Job. He lost every thing. He had been one of the wealthiest of "all orientals of his day", and he not only lost his money, but his 10 daughters (which were the most beautiful in all the land) but all of his herds, servants, and even his friends tried to turn him against God. They even chided him, asking him what sin he had committed to make God turn against him. Job hadn't committed any sin at all. But if you remember the account, Satan asked God if any human would still love him if he took away all the blessings he had bestowed on them; and Satan asked God about Job, in particular. When God asked him where he had come from, he anwered he came from "roving about the earth." When Job proved his faithfulness to God through all of this, God rewarded him with more herds, more family members, and friends.
So we do have to prove our faith in God by our actions. Everyone has bad things happen to them at one time or another. I remember in 2002, I had to put my dog down after having him for 10 yrs., I lost my job, got fired, and my mother in law died, and the year before my husband had a major stroke, open heart surgery, and then I got sick, and almost died myself. But because of accurate knowledge of the Bible, I know God doesn't bring this about, and that he has made provisions for me to see my mother in law again, here on a beautified earth, with no more dying, pain, or sorrow, and a hope of everlasting life.

Part of living is dying. We all know we are going to die and we just have to make the best of what we do whilst we are here.
