I find her really inspiring. Nigella doesn't have air or graces and worries like Delia about getting everything "perfect". I love the way she "chucks a bit of this" and does not "worry about chopping everything up precisely". She's a real home cook, not a poncy chef.

I don't think she is perfect! Her smarmy attitude is from another world. It reminds me of those old adverts of beautifully coiffeured ladies smiling inanely while doing the washing up or the hoovering ....... Sickening.
And the way she builds herself up! Everything she cooks is so "perfect" and "sexy". I know she had a hard time losing her last husband, but she really ought to get a life. She seems to have an inferiority complex if she has to tell everyone just how "perfect" she is!
I was actually just thinking about this all last night - I did not watch her. Once was enough.

I do love the way that she makes cooking so relaxing - I wish I had the ability and confidence to just 'chuck' things together. However, I know what you mean about depressing - much as I love her cooking style and down-to-earth nature, I am jealous of her gorgeous hair, perfect make-up, and manicured nails. Just how does she hold it all together, and make it appear so effortless?!?!?! (Oh, and I know a lot if it is down to stylists and cameras, but you can't help wishing you could be that ideal naturally!)

She's not perfect, look closely, listen, and then smack yourself for wasting your time. The fashion for all things quick, easy simple but tasty must be causing some very funny results in kitchens all over britain as untrained wannabes give it a go, bless

Not at all, I think that she is one of the best cooks on the TV. So much better than Delia Smith, and what she cooks always looks wonderful and easy to follow

not depressed, just seasick with that dodgy camera work!
also, a bit sick with the richness of the foods. gingerbread in the stuffing, maple syrup and butter glazed turkey thats been soaked in spiced water, maple syrup glazed parsnips.
and for pudding - a triple bi-pass!

I love to watch her, she is very intelligent. I make her brownie recipes, but I add some nuts to mine. I love brownies with nuts.
