How can I teach her to stop humping my leg, it is quite funny at times, but it can also be embarrasing. I am her owner, she is happy but there is no need for this. What does this behaviour mean ? and how can i prevent it ?

hi this is a domination behavior you must break her from this now this is her way of telling you she's the boss get on to her with a firm no and let her know you mean business trust me i raise pitbulls and pitbull terriors it would definently be in your best business to break this habit now

It's a common behaviour in young dogs and older ones if they haven't been trained out of it.Alot of people are shocked when there ***** does it but it's completly normal.Every time she does it say no loudly and firmly and put her in a seperate room for 10mins to calm down.Dont laugh at her as this will encourage the behaviour as she thinks it's fine to do.Just keep saying no and removing her and she should start getting the idea it's not allowed.Good luck

Try carying a spray bottle full of water around or have one near you when you're with her. When she humps squirt it (in myst setting) at her nose. Not too close though, you don't want to hurt her nose by squirting water in it. Just close enough so she'll feel some force from the water, and not hurt her. Dog's noses are sensitive, so they don't like it. It's a nicer version of the rolled up newspaper.

pupies hump during play and to show dominance (not sexual). Females usually outgrow it pretty quickly. Just tell her "no" and get her off immediately. She'll learn very quickly that it displeases you. Distract her to other things.

learn to walk on your hands.If it is a pup it will out grow this.Many young animals have horomones that are confusing to it.Only some humans don't out grow it and turn gay.
