No, as a matter of fact, knowledge is a HINDRANCE, if you get puffed up and depend on your ego and let it lead you away from simple truth.
The Bible warns about this kind of worldly knowledge that profiteth little! What it promotes is gaining wisdom, which is from God.

Absolutely!
You can be against something, and still use knowledge to act accordingly in certain circumstances without actually ever changing your mindset.
An example would be a Christian spy who has knowledge of the Islamic religion, uses it to act exactly like a Muslum while undercover in a middle eastern country, but never actually believes in the Islamic religion.

I know what you mean...I don't think a person owns the knowledge if there are no changes, they are just paying lip service.----------Maybe people are not aware of how the slightest thought is significant. And how the slightest insight leaves them changed, however minutely. If you can only 'talk the talk', that is still something. You are different from when you couldn't talk. But the knowledge we are speaking of on this forum demands that you 'walk the walk' to experience the transformation that you imply with your question.

yes.
If one knows something, one can use that knowledge. Not every new detail need be a life changing experience.
If I know that this snake's bites are venomous, I will avoid touching him. But that won't change who I am.
If I know a friend is in danger, I may try to help him. But that won't change who I am.
If I know that everything will turn out alright, I may be more at ease, and feel peace. But that won't change who I am.
If one knows that knowledge has value, one may seek it. It may not change who one is, but it may help one and those one cares about.

if the knowledge makes you aware that the change in question would have been a bad one, it's certainly of value

Impossible. Gaining wisdom or knowledge is change.
Maybe you consider someone with an excellent memory wise and knowledgeable, I don't.

Sure
It may not change the person who gets it, but they may tell someone and THEY may change. Knowledge's use shouldn't be measured in tangible reactions to it's possession.
