You need to take a time out when this happens. What is the age difference between you? Have you discussed this with your parents? Are you given to much responsibility to take care of him? Can't give much advice without more details.

Remember children can be annoying it is up to you to control your angry. Get out of the house or try to include him in everything you can usually kids become annoying because they want attention. You need to also take some time to clear your mind and release your frustration. Also know that with the more attention you give him the less he will act up and will leave you alone to do his own stuff.

don't let him push your buttons. quit being a bully.
Kill him with kindness..... it always works......
Give him lots of kisses and hugs allllllll the time. Tell him you love him so much and interrupt his TV programs and tell him how happy you are to have him as a brother.. Kisses and hugs mega......every morning at breakfast if he is up at the same time. when you are getting ready for school// When you get home from school. yell out hey where is that cute little brother of mine.. call his name, find him and hug and kiss him, tell him you missed him and ask him if he missed you.......I mean really lay it on......Do this at every opportunity you can , even when his friends are over. After a week of this, this boy will be running and hiding when he hears you coming.;..........
He will leave you alone after a week of this.......

you'll grow out of it, every one is calling you a bully, but i didn't get enough info from your question to determine that you are. i grew up with just brothers, eventually he'll get you back! I've seen it a million times. don't be to verbally/psychically abusive, some aggression is normal amongst siblings but don't go over board. the fact that you realize that you are abusive to him means you're growing. as with most little brothers, I'm sure he idolizes and wants to be you...

Put him in time out or in the corner. And if you feel you need to hit him,pop him on the hand and look at him and tell him no.Let him know why you're popping him.Or get into an angermanagement class. You may have an anger problem.

First I would try to look up some relaxation techniques such as yoga. Buy a tape and do it in your room so you can relax a lil easier. Or I also suggest go out running and get so exhausted that you can't get to mad cause your to tired. Try talking to your brother calmly and see why he is acting they way that he is acting. I hope that helps a little bit.

Well, I'm sure he is a pest. I have the same problem. My brother and I have a phrase we invoke to make everything cool between us before it gets far. When we realize what is going on, we catch ourselves and ask each other to just forget about it.

Remind yourself that he who hits first (or resorts to insults or abuse), automatically loses the argument, because he has abandoned logic.
Next time you get frustrated, just walk away. You're older than he is, so show him you can hold your temper better.
