It depends on the present. If it's just a few Hershey's kisses in a baggie, say thank you and accept. If it's a diamond ring, say something like, "I appreciate the thought, but I can't accept a gift this expensive."

It depends.. if it is something small like a food item, then go ahead. You might want to add, " wow! Thanks so much, my boyfriend/ girlfriend really likes _______ (insert gift here)"
If it is anything more significant, say, "Thank you, I appreciate the thought, but my boyfriend/girlfriend gets upset if I accept gifts from other wo/men." lol! But be aware that you will need to recruit a so for the office party if u don't really have one... unless s/he can't make it that night 4 some reason. Not honest, but gives you wiggle room.....
I personally asked my 6'3"/ 240 lb. marine football player friend to a party with me to get one freak to back off. Some people are obtuse! and do not understand the "etiquette of a polite society" lol!
p.s. If this person is creepy but harmless do this, if they are creepy and possibly a future problem, deal with the situation head on and let them know there is no chance of anything in the future and reject their gift. Rather they have rejection now than you having to file a restraining order later.....

I'd Probably Accept it. Creepy Isn't Far Away From Crazy. You Don't Know How He'll React To Rejection.

I would thank that person saying that was very thoughtful and wish them a Happy Holiday. Let it go at that. The "creepy co-
worker" is a person just like you & I. Be kind at least.

Personally, if there is not a Secret Santa or office-sponsored or approved gift exchange .. then I would find a very polite way to say "No thank you" to the gift that the co-worker is trying to give you.

I would simply thank the person and explain that as there isn't a gift exchange planned in that dept. etc.. that you are not prepared and therefore cannot reciprocate, and politely return the gift.

I would say that since you were not planning on exchanging gifts with "Insert person's name" you don't feel comfortable accepting the gift. If they insist still say thank you in a noncomittal tone. Take the gift and regift. Don't keep it!

Accept it. He may be creepy, but he thinks you are nice enough to deserve a gift from him. Reciprocate with a similarly priced gift at least.
