HI, JUST BEFORE DINNER MY CORKSCTEW BROKE, AND I GOT THE ADJUSTABLE SPANNER, AND LEVERED THE CORK OUT, YOU AND I NEED TO HAVE A SPARE CORKSCREW.Oops sorry capitals.
I was talking to a friend last week at a Party, and they shared that they were with a friend and the friend just took a Clever
( Meet Knife) and took a swing at the top of the neck on the bottle and Hey Presto the top was gone and the bottle open, I thought the story slightly way out there, but aparantly they done that all the time when no Corkscrew, I do not at all recomend such an approach, it sounded very dangerous, .

Tap the bottom of the wine bottle against a piece of wood, tree stump, etc. The force of the wine will eventually pop the cork up a little at a time. This way you won't get any cork in the wine and change the quality of the wine.

Method #1: Push the cork in with table knife and push it back as you pour so it won't block the flow.

Method #2: Use a self tapping screw such as a 2 inch drywall screw. It will go in easily. Clamp a vice grip on the head of the screw and pull it. The cork will come with it.

Method #3: Use a stout knife and starting at one edge slide the knife in at a 45 degree angle until it hits glass on the other side of the cork. Pry and lift the cork out.

Good luck and pour me a glass.

Now might be a good time to get to know your neighbors; ask to borrow a corkscrew. If that doesn't work, take a walk/ride to the nearest mini mart.

Use a knife with a sharp tip. This happened to me last Thanksgiving and I really wanted some booze, so I kept working it and eventually, I pulled the cork out.

DONT USE A DRILL OR A KNIFE if you dont want cork shrapnel and smithereens and shavings in your wine.

I think "Pinkbegon..." meant screw a screw.

Let me add that a thick wood screw is the best.

if its too thin, you'll just rip a hole in the cork.

If you don't have a hammer you can use a fork to pull out the screw.

I hope it works out.

Got a power drill? Drill into the cork and pull it out.
