I dated a girl that I later found out was addicted to eating carpet. She kept it a secret, but I wish she would have told me. I tried it and now I too love to eat carpet! Who would have thought?

The scientific term is "rug muncher" and is more common in males than females, although both sexes can have this addiction. This is mainly common and accepted in men, but sometimes leads to "pickle puffing" which is accepted more frequently when a woman has this addiction....lol

Pica is what you are talking about. It is a disorder in which a person eats non-nutritive things. It is sometimes seen in pregnant women and iron-deficiency anemics.

there is a common term for these problem "PICA"
that is any unusual eating like soil, ice, dust,....
its a sign for anemia
so your friend should do a Hb test which is very simple test to roll out anemia which is very common in ladies

im a registered nurse....its called Pica. its a disorder where your body isnt getting enough minerals and you crave strange things to try to get them.
