I don't think you need to be hostile right away -- this could actually be a sweet, decent person that was simply not socialized properly by their parents. They may simply think that it is less threatening than directly approaching you. Secret admirers can sometimes be awesome people. I've had one or two that I really got along with, and I've been one to a few people without scaring them half to death. There's a definite line that should not be crossed -- and they should send flowers, not emails. Tell them to send you some chocolate, maybe. The person most likely has a crush on you but is too shy to approach you.
Remember, though, if you don't deal with it now, and the person IS a creep, it might escalate. I say defuse the situation by just confronting the individual. Tell them that this type of behavior is not acceptable to you; it's impolite, childish, and it makes you uncomfortable. Mention that if they are attempting to get you interested, they are doing it all wrong (mention chocolate at this point). If the response is not at least apologetic, don't respond. Block and ignore the person.
But if they say they are sorry and send a GOOD box of chocolate, you might have yourself a prospect.
Never burn your bridges, baby -- that's my motto. People are good at heart, too. Bad childhoods sour people and exposure to violence can poison them, but neglect just depresses them or turns them into mischief makers.
Good luck.

It seems that person just want to know more about you. If he is not revealing his true identity he may be trying to cheat you. Beware of such people and block his e mail without any delay.

Ten to one it's a bunch of your mates trying to reel you into a horrendous practical joke. Just don't turn up to any bars wearing a coronation in your buttonhole or anything...

Block them, they're stalkers. Better yet, you just report them to the police or something. Of course, it may be just one of your freinds playing a prank. Don't reply anymore.

Cyberspace flirting is fun and common place UNTIL it gets personal in which case you should not read further e-mail from that person.

Well, if you are married, it could be your husband trying to bust you. People are weird sometimes.
