I haven't before, but it sounds like a great idea and will this year.

As for the friend he is small and shallow and trying to make up for it by being a jerk. Ask him what happened in his life to make him such a small and petty man that he must criticize others to fill the gaping hole in his self confidence.

Your friends husband isnt upper class at all, he just likes to eat food considered posh, and expensive, though his is probably best buy eggs, and vaccum packed, farmed, dyed, salmon. (from quick save).
To be really "elevated", as well as enjoying subtley exuisite food, you need a respect, and understanding, of those who dont.
Fish and scrambled egg, is an historical breakfast dish, known as Kedgeree, usually eaten by the type of people that can afford to employ someone to get up and prepare it.
Smoked salmon, is, best. Scottish, freshly caught and prepared by your butler, then you can talk of low lifes, other wise, prepare the best ingredients you can afford, and enjoy, as it is nice, you'll need some butter, and herbs...or just have i as is, as separate fish and eggs....Yum.
Merry Christmas

I have regularly served eggs and smoked salmon as a chef.
For your four star customers, make normal scambles.

For RAF officers the only scrambled egg to make is double cream and egg yolks, ( a tiny touch of brandy as a embelishment)

BTW the best scambled eggs can be made by putting the eggs, milk, pepper, and a touch of salt in a jug and put them up to a steamer for milk, clean before making a cappucino.

xx glad to be of helpxx

ps, grow a double chin, get jowls , marry your cousin and you can be a toff too!

Eggs provide a substantial amount of nutrition to your diet. They are high in protein, healthy fats and contribute a myriad of vitamins and minerals. Eggs can also be high in some unhealthy substances as well, so you should be careful in how you prepare them. While most scrambled egg recipes call for butter, you can substitute other ingredients to limit the already-high cholesterol content. You can also avoid using so as not to surpass your daily sodium limit.

Some do, but your hubby is obviously just acting a snob. We have muffins and fruitbread with cocoa, usually. Tell him if he wants smoked salmon and scrambled eggs for christmas morning breakfast, he should make it for you. I'm assuming he is demanding you make it for him, along with the whole huge dinner and desserts thing at noon.

Not in my house -

I get up first, make a huge pot of tea and an equally huge plate of toast -

put on a CD of really old "chintzy" Christmas music -

then all hell breaks loose in a frenzy of paper tearing, toast munching and tea guzzling!

...Ahhh the joys of having my traditional English Christmas!

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU AND YOURS FROM ME AND MINE!
