I dunno, because I buy smoked bacon and smoked hams and the package tells me to thoroughly cook it. I would have to go against everyone else and say, NO! I'd cook it until it's 160 degrees. Would you eat smoked bacon straight from the package? Makes you wonder, hunh?

It usually tells on the package if it's fully cooked. If it doesn't say then I would assume that it's not, just to be safe. I would guess that a "smoked ham" is fully cooked though.

I brought a fully cooked ham and it said on the package ready to eat.The store's sticker is the one that said about handling meat and to cook it to 160 degrees. I didn't like the ham as much as the one that I had to cook.

While a smoked ham is fully cooked, all meat should be severed under 40 degrees (F) or over 140 degrees to insure all bacteria is dead (heat) or dormant (cold).

It's fully cooked and only has to be reheated if you want warm ham.

It's been fully cooked. It's been cured through a smoking process.
