Go to NYC. Seeing the ball drop in Time's Square is a once in a lifetime experience if you're not from the area or wealthy enough to go every year. And there are so many parties and fun things to do for New Year's in the Big Apple. No day but today, man! You may not be here tomorrow.

You can snowboard anytime.

Well if you were planning on staying overnight, you should probably go snowboarding. EVERY hotel, motel and hostel in NY books up for New Years months in advance.
