Ahhh Good point. I don't believe so. How could he have died for me I wasn't even thought about when he supposedly died

Please write more detail regarding this topic? Did the person die because they were given a choice, you or them...then yes, they died so that you could live. I don't know how else someone could die for someone else.
I just read a few of the other answers and I still answer yes. Jesus died so that we may live. What an amazing gift that was!

Yeah, I guess, like if you fell in the river and someone jumped in and saved you and then they died. They died for you and you never asked.
If someone was put to death 2000 years before you were born than chances are their death had nothing to do with or for you.

Good question...only if you take advantage of the reason he died for you, otherwise it is utterly meaningless.
I assume you are referring to Christ's Atonement? If not, oh well I am going to give my 2 cents anyways...
Christ died for us, every single person. Not only did He die though, He suffered for each individual sin ever committed or that will be committed. He bled from every pore in the Garden of Gethsemane and sealed his atonement with his death.
BUT, the clincher is, if we do not repent and come unto Him as our Savior, the atonement has no meaning for those who do not do those things.

Ohmegush I absolutely adore your avatar!
Lol, sorry. Okay, back to the question. Well if that somebody died for me for a good reason, then yes he/she really died for me.

Hmmm, your mother went into labor to have you, but you didn't ask her to - are you really here?
Yes, the Lord died for you, because we are born in and to sin and if He didn't died on that stake for us - none of us would be here now!
God Bless You

nobody died for me. and nobody will. In fact, Im not worth you spending the rest of your life in jail getting buttraped, killing me... but if you are so inclined, ask for the top bunk (harder to get raped up there) or carry a supply of condoms.

I assume you are refering to Jesus.
salvation through the death on the cross of Jesus is a gift.
if you had asked Jesus to die for you,
it would no longer be a gift.

If someone did something like jumping in front of a bullet that was going to hit me, I would be grateful to him. However, I would feel weird about it.

Great question- if I saw someone pull out a gun and was about to shoot you and I stood in the way, taking your bullet, and you never asked me to-would you thank me or think it meant nothing?
