Dogs for sure...a cat is always out and about, there never around when you need something to stroke and cuddle unlike a dog who are very loyal, protective and trustworthy...a mans best friend :)

It depends on your personality! Cats and more subtle, they can be very manipulative and if they don't like you you will never get along. Cats can tell when a person is not a true cat lover. However if they do like you you can have an awesome relationship full of cuddles and fun. Dogs, on the other hand just want to be loved and will persue even the most obvious dog hater. All they need is a pat and a feed and they're yours forever! Dogs are energetic and the results of not meeting their needs are blatant. You can rumble with dogs, play games etc....
I own both but unfortunately im not a cat person.. GO DOGS!

oh! but i want to say both!!!!um er um, cats. whilst I love my dog, the cats are a little less work and a little less stress. When I go away for a few days the cats at least I know can look after themselves, they just are.......um there, when you need company or just a snuggle the cats will do just that, try and snuggle with the dog and you usually get smothered with slobber and drool. I want to put in a but now and say all the good stuff about having a dog, but I wont break the rules!!!!.:)

Dogs, definitaly. They are smarter, more playful, non boring, hyper animals. They are also mans best friends. I have three dogs and am looking forward to more. They are so sweet and unpredictable. It's so fun and funny to just watch them for a while and see the crazy but yet funny things they do. Also most of them like water. They are also very protective. Like if someone broke into your house or something they would try their damnest to save you and anyone there. Cats on the other had .... well.... would eather run or watch. That's my opinion... and it's comin from me only..... onless someone agrees. lolz.

Dogs. Much more loving. Cats just sit around licking themselves and get hair all over the place.

Wel if you are trying to find out which one everyone likes then you are not going to get anywhere if you want a cuddly sweet animal with low maintanence and you want to be able to let it go and know it will come back then get a cat if you want an animal that will wrestle with you go with you on walks or listen to your command eat you shoes and be a pain but one look into their eyes and you forgive them then get a dog

ps cats are not boring they just mimick their owners.

If I had to choose, it would have to be dogs, but I have cats & ferrets also. I used to do rescues, so I've had a lot more.

Cats. They're cleaner and require less care. And they can take care of themselves better than dogs can.
