From a moral perspective, it's not among the realationships prohibited in Leviticus 19.
From a societal perspective, well, you see what other people think just by looking at the other answers. You'd probably have to hide the fact that you're cousins, and that's if the family is understanding (which is a big if).
From a legal standpoint, if the dating progresses to marriage, only certain states will allow it (and in some of those you have to live there).

Well, judging by everyones response I'd say you already have your answer. The truth is, it depends. No, it's not OK to date a first cousin (i.e. your uncle's kid). There really isn't anthing wrong with dating a more distant cousin (i.e. your grandmother's cousin's grand kid).
Most states do allow marriage between 3rd cousins. I think a few even allow marriage between 2nd cousins. That seems a little too close on the family tree for me!!
Bottom line is, your family reunion probably isn't the best place to "pick up chicks!"

in some states it's legal to marry a first cousin. I wouldn't suggest it, but if you want to, check out the legalities. Some states allow for 2nd, 3rd, etc. cousins to date.

Franklin and Elenor Roosevelt, President and First Lady of the US from like 1932 till 1945 were cousins.

I am totally neautral on this subject.. kinda like i am versus obese people and homosexuals.
Personally it has happened in te past
in fact it has been something that you had no choice to do a long time ago.. but that was a long time ago where the level of evil man does is quite small compared to us ^ ^
but i dont see where tis bad but i do see that its not something.. preffered.. specially not by this world. id stay away from my cousins. not in the sense i think they are horribly ugly. but becasue i do also. like the rest of the people here. have a sense of dignity to stayin with the people im not related to.
but in a sense
were all related.

um not really i have made out with my cousin but he isnt by blood but it is illegal to marry so it is pointless and shauned to date ur cousin
