i am a 21 yr old male, 5 feet 6 inches tall and weight a little over 100 lbs

Of course eating more, but fitness is much more important than weight. If you do weight bearing exercises you will gain muscle mass. Do you like any phycial activities? You are probably just fine the way you are though.

Well, fist of all, there is no need to gain weight unless your doctor says you need to. But I had to gain 30 pounds this summer, which I did!!!! (long story) and I did it by going to a clinic but this was because of an eating disorder, you wouldn't want to go there unless you actually have one though, believe me!!! I would consider drinking ensure at least 3 times a day in addition to your regular meals and snacks and 1 energy bar a day. Your stomach will hurt or maybe it won't, but I'm leaning more towards will, but it's not all that bad. Just remember, only if a doctor says you aren't healthy because of your weight.

Caloric enriched drinks will definitely help in addition to paying very close attention to your caloric intake by keeping a food journal. I know it may sounds like extra work but if you've come here to get suggestions.....You may just have an extraordinary high metabolism. Once you start gaining weight you want a paper trail so you can see what works for you. Best of luck!

Don't look for an easy way to gain weight as it may be more harmful to your health then you expect.
Good food and exercise works wonders.

it may be tempting to eat fast food in order to gain weight, but DO NOT.

the key to gaining weight fast is consuming lots of calories. some good food ideas:
- hamburgers/steak/chicken/fish
- whole eggs
- natural peanut butter
- whole milk
- potatoes

eat like there is no tomorrow, stay away from junk food.

If you're the type that can eat all he wants and not gain weight it's going to be hard. I know one sure way to gain weight and that's to eat sugar. LOTS of it. Bags and bags of candy! lol Not healthy of course but if you get desperate..

work out alot , and eat lots of grain and dairy , your short so its notlike you have to be 170 lbs
