Ya kind of blows that line out of the water doesn't it? Not to mention a law suit filed by American citizens who were fired in order to hire cheaper illegals on the same company.

Excellent question, and a good article with interviews of applicants. Notable also is the fact that the raids only took away 10% of the Swift workforce; 90% of the original employees were citizens and legal immigrants. If the media digs more, I'm sure they can refute the Republican assertion that illegal immigrants only do the jobs Americans refuse to do.

As an ex-manager........the first thing that came to my mind when I read your question WAS........."How many of those applicants will LAST once they realize how hard the job REALLY is".
This is NO way meant to pat "the illegals" on the back. I just have been disgusted FOR YEARS with the work ethic of "Americans". OH and for all who want to attack me for that.........kiss my A SS. Manage ANY business and you will realize how hopeless the "job applicants" are and will be. It is just not a priority taught these days.
As for the lines........THANK GOD.........I love it and I am Pro-Amnesty.........BUT......always a BUT with me.....why am I thinking that several people were in line simply to tell their welfare worker (I WAS IN LINE). Sorry.........

I think it's ridiculous how the women in the article was saying they should have planned the raid better so that fa miles wouldn't be broken apart. Like they are supposed to send you a letter in the mail telling you that if you come to work today you will be deported to Mexico.

I think it's funny. It' s about time we finally showed illegals that we aren't as stupid as they think we are and that their excuses are being disproven EVERY DAY..you would think they would finally give up making their stupid excuses..proving how ignorant they are but I guess since they continue to make them it does prove how ignorant they are..if they were very smart, they would have already figured out that they are NOT going to win this and to just give up ..I am talking about only illegals..

They could be yet more immigrants... the meatpacking business has historically been dominated by immigrant communities.
