The answer to your question is an absolute NO...The don't ask, don't tell policy refers to being homosexual not acting upon it. For all those who answered yes and quoted the don't ask don't tell policy they don't quite understand what it means. Quite simply, the policy states that if you won't be asked if your homosexual and you can't tell anyone you're homosexual. However, if you're in a homosexual relationship you have made it known that you're homosexual and then the don't ask don't tell policy doesn't apply to you, you will be automatically discharged from the service. Best advice if you're gay (especially a gay man) don't join the military, you will be found out you will be harassed and you will eventually have to leave the service. Whether or not you agree with this policy the truth is the truth and candy coating it for you is just wrong.

Yes! It is more common then you would think! It is the don't ask don't tell policy. I knew a lot of people that were gay, its not really that big of a deal anymore in the Navy at least! not sure about the other branches though!

Don't ask Don't tell also means that you are not supposed to participate in homosexual acts during your stay in the military. You could be discharged for something like kissing a person of the same sex.

directly adult adult males and directly females are separated of their dozing quarters. gay adult adult males sleep interior the comparable quarters with different adult adult males. The temptation is everywhere for a gay guy or a gay females. As you already know adult adult males that are of their 20's to 30's have raging hormones greater then the different time of their lives. it relatively is the place the subjects lie. too lots temptation.

yes, and for a fact i had a gay friend in the military and the whole chain of command knew he was gay and they did not try to chapter him out. i think it depends on who is bothered by it really. as long as you do your job, no complaints.

Of course, you just described the policy. Don't ask, don't tell. If you do come out, then you are pretty much gone.
