Tummy tuck surgery has become very common now. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Forerunners Healthcare .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.

Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Many patients travel from United States of America and UK to get low cost surgery in India. Indian corporate hospitals are comparable to hospitals anywhere in the world. In fact, India has medical facilities that are comparable with the USA, UK and Canada. India offers World Class Medical Facilities, comparable with any of the western countries. India has state of the art Hospitals and the best medical experts. With the best infrastructure, the best possible Medical facilities, accompanied with the most competitive prices, you can get the treatment done in India at the lowest prices.

A tummy tuck is for excess skin. In theory, you would have already lost weight before electing to have a tummy tuck. Liposuction is for excess fat. Either way, insurance usually won't pay for either procedure, as they're cosmetic plastic surgery. Sometimes, however, tummy tucks are deemed to be needed for health purposes. Enough excessive skin can cause disease and infection. Talk to your doctor, he'll let you know whether it is medical decision or an elective one.

By the way, I wouldn't elect for a tummy tuck if you have never exercised. It sucks to have one done and then gain weight. Waste of money, pain, and you end up with a big scar. Get a good diet and exercise routine first.

Medicaid WILL pay for a tummy tuck if your doctor recommends that you have one.

My best friend is on medicaid and her doctor recommended she have gastric bypass surgery because she was dangerously overweight. She had the surgery and lost weight so quickly, the skin from her stomach overlapped her natural waist. Although she was cleaning it well, the dark, moist area kept getting yeast infections. Her doctor then recommended she get a tummy tuck because it was continually infected.

Most doctors, however, don't recommend tummy tucks unless it is an extreme situation such as that. Besides, such an extreme surgery can be deadly. Talk with your doctor about your options; he may be able to put you on a weightloss plan without surgery.

Good luck.

Medicaid only pays for necessary medical care. A tummy tuck is considered cosmetic and would not be covered.

OK - if you are 100 pounds overweight medicaid will pay for gastric bypass surgery. If you lose the 100 pounds after that and have excess skin and trash, thay pay for multiple tummy tucks if necessary. So _ eat - eat - eat till you can qualify.

They will not pay for it and you should be working out regularly, not just a little and forget about a tummy tuck.

doubtful. It would have to be a medical necessity, I imagine, for it to be approved by Medicaid. Tummy tucks are mostly cosmetic in nature, so very doubtful they would approve it for payment.

I sure hope not, the medicaid system is in poor enough shape. There are far too many abusers of this system, and paying for something like this would be ridiculous.

Because it is a cosmetic procedure, virtually no insurance company will pay for it.
