by doing something good/ honourable, and not being recognised, is better than being recognised for something you haven't done.

If you do something without expecting something for your deed, then it is truely honorable.

It is better to have a nobel heart and not be recognized, than to not have one and be recognized for it. Deceiving yourself ultimately only hurts you. This is just my opinion.
