I don't know where one of the answerers got their information from, but I am currently using Elidel and it is working [a lot] for me, so evidently, it hasn't been pulled from pharmacies. My skin is about 1/5 as bad as it used to be. I have tried everything else for my psoriasis- eczema dermatitis including really expensive sun treatments [real and artificial] and just about every single cream and lotion. Nothing worked except for this. Prolonged use of Elidel isn't recommended, but no record of any serious health issues have been related to this medication. I have used it for about 3 months now and every single day it get better and better. Just make sure you actually use it twice a day or you'll prolong the healing process. Just reschedule an update appointment with your doctor in about 2 months and let them know how your skin is doing, also, ask about prolonged usage. Good luck, Elidel is so worth it, stick to it.

Elidel was recently removed from the market for health concerns (it works though).Barring a Dr.'s prescription;Twice daily gently scrub the area with a mild soap & washcloth.Pat dry and apply a good moisturizing (oil based) lotion.Keep the area soft with lotion if it becomes dry.Eczema is a catchall phrase for many skin conditions

I have a very mild form which causes my elbows and lower legs to itch like crazy.
It's not that bad in terms of markings, except that when I scratch it often leaves a scab.
My Dermotoligist suggested that I A) get plenty of sunlight or sit in a tanning bed, and B) use a spray called CLOBEX (clobetasol propionate).
The spray has been awesome, it's really stopped the itching. It's a cortio steroid though, so not for everyone.
not sure if that helps - but it may for other parts of the body.

That did not work for me...I use many different kinds of stuff...I use cetaphil at nite on my face with oil of olay daily facials. This seems to help some and then dove facial lotion for the day and it makes the redness go away as well.
