I got a TV at Circuit City at 5:00 AM the day after thanksgiving. I bought it for 200 dollars with a 50-dollar mail-in rebate. The TV went up the next day to 270.00. I was feeling happy because me making a line after midnight out on the cold was worth it. Today I find out that same TV is being sold at Circuit City for 150 dollars, just like that, no need for a mail-in rebate. I’ve been too busy this month, and the whole mail-in rebate seemed to complicated, so I never sent it.

What can I do???????? I waited out in a the cold for a 200 dollar TV that’s 150 dollars right now.

You can't get something unless you ask for it. Go into the Circuit City where you bought the TV, with the receipt in hand, and tell them at the customer service desk that you want a credit for the difference in price since you waited in line, etc. If the person says no, ask to speak to their manager, and if the manager says no ask to speak to that person's manager, etc. Don't ever get mad, just say "sorry, I don't find that acceptable" and keep at it until you get tired of it or you get your credit. It may or may not work, but at least you will have taken action instead of just feeling bitter.

You're basically getting the tv for the same price, its just that your laziness is getting in the way.. it happens, so there's really no grounds in which to complain... just suck it up and send the mail-in rebate.. see the lazier people (with a little more common sense) don't go shopping on Black Friday lol.. we wait til later when we can get things for cheaper minus the getting up at 5a.m. in the freezing cold and trying to fight people off from left and right... ha!!!! *Happy Holidays* *hugz* Stop being so lazy lol

Honestly complaining won't help any in this situation.. it'll just give both you and the people you're complaining to a headache! Just send in the Rebate :)

Here is the low down, at first things will be only like 10 to 15% off original prices. Thats at least what their signs will normally say. When you actually look into it the main items you would seek out will only be like 5% off. So items like computers, laptops, cameras, and tv's will be at 5%. Other items in the store will vary. Traditionally the items that get the most percent off are the items rarely seeked out in the store. Items like paper, disks, odd ball cords, and etc. Also, items that are hot items, such as games, memory cards and etc will be marked up making you think you are getting a deal but in reality you are getting it for slightly lower than retail or the same. The key to liquidation is to wait a bit longer for the prices to go down but the downfall to that is, there are easily fooled customers who have already bought the items you want because they thought they were getting a deal. So most people dont bother going lol. Unless you do need paper and things like that. The thing is, you tell almost anyone they are getting a deal and they go nuts and blow money, where if they waited they could have found the same item a little later for probably less lol. P.S. prices are not negotiable

you could try complaining to the store manager, but im not sure it will help much,,,,, you did basically get your tv for 150, if you had sent in the rebate,,,,, this exact reason is why i never do the mad day after thanksgiving rush,, things will be just as cheap in the week before Christmas,,,, no rebates needed, unless you need a specific item, usually a child's toy, that may sell out,,,,,

This question confirms that you are a complete twit, which I suspected after reading your question about French food (in which you claim to teach French! Hah!).

"Caveat emptor", my friend! Don't buy anything that isn't at the price you are willing to pay! Then if the price halves the next day, you won't care!

There is nothing you can do, Circuit City did nothing unethical, illegal or immoral; your personal greed decreed that $200 was the right price to wait in the cold for, now you are doubting yourself. I think it's clear where the blame lies!

Best Buy has a price guarantee. If they drop their price within 30 days of your original purchase they will refund the difference. Circuit City might have the same deal but I'm not sure. Either way, you'll get nowhere without a receipt.
