It matters to me. I'm a triathlete and marathon runner, so I'm pretty fit and stay in decent shape. I expect at least that the guy could take care of himself as best he can. I really don't like seeing men naked when they have a big potbelly; talk about unattractive. Jeez.

I don't expect the men I date to go out and do a 15-mile run with me, but they need to have control of their eating habits, at the very least. I have responded to personal ads in which the man describes himself as overweight, and then you meet them and they are morbidly obese. A little extra weight is passable, but obesity is not. Besides which obese people set themselves up for serious health problems (diabetes, heart disease, stroke, hypertension), and that becomes an issue as well.

I think for a woman and her body weight is an issue, for men though weight usually is not an issue when it comes to most women. I think women like men to take care of themselves though just as men would in women.

There is no direct answer for all women, because we're all different. Some women don't care about size, some do.
Personally, if a guy doesn't care enough about himself to stay fit, how can he care about me?

it depends on the woman. each woman likes a different type of weight on her man. some women like their man to be a little chubby; others like their man to be a little skinny; and still others like their man to have his weight evened out. (ex: my guy's like 165 pounds, but he's like 6 ft tall---so it balances out, and most of that is muscle).
