Babies go to Heaven, right? The mother and doctor will be punished for murder by God, right? Where does anyone else come into the equation?

By the fact that they are fighting for justice.

It was only people fighting the injustice of slavery that eventually brought it to an end.

This is exactly like saying, "Hey, what's wrong with killing a three-year-old child? After all, the child will go straight to heaven, right?" Killing innocent human beings, whether in the womb or in Iraq, is always wrong. Some people actually do care when other people are unjustly executed.

If you have any doubt that abortion does kill a living human being, get yourself an embryology textbook or visit http://Abort73.com

I have a feeling that you're not looking for an answer, only a fight, as many people on these religion topics are. But as a Christian I am going to answer your question anyways.

Christians oppose abortion because it's the killing of an innocent unborn child. Those who have abortions and perform them will pay for what they have done. But while we are here on this mortal earth it is our duty to protect these defenseless unborn children and oppose abortion so other women won't have to face the guilt and pain that comes with going through such a horrible procedure.

You think it's your right to spread your legs and then get an abortion as many times as you please? What about the rights of the children you are killing?

My opposition to abortion is my personal belief that it should not be used as a form of birth control. As a medical procedure, to protect the mother I support it 100%. But as a way of undoing a mistake I do not support it 100%. If a couple is ready for sex they are ready for what sex creates. I do not view it as murder but having counseled so many ladies who have had abortions and years later the grieving comes to the surface in their personal lives, tells me that it is a deeper issue than just stopping a pregnancy. Needs to be taken on a case by case basis...there are so many couples out there unable to have babies...adoption is an alternative to the babies not aborted.

Another reason is based on an economic senses, if all the babies who have been aborted were alive today and working, social security would stronger. I am not sure the job market would support them though.

I can't speak for everyone but being against abortion is like being against murder. Of course, in the end... it is between the mother and God. There are fanatic people who go overboard and there are some strong Christian men & women who feel they should stand up and defend the lives of the unborn. I don't think there's anything wrong with that!!

If you believe that it's a good thing that babies are sent to 'heaven', then why don't YOU arrange for your own execution? Christians are looking out for EVERYONE's best interests regarding abortion. Our God is a God of the living, not of the dead. He wants everyone to live. The baby deserves to live, to learn and grow in this world, rather than to have his journey short-circuited by selfish people. The mother of aborted babies often suffer guilt after the fact, once they realize the enormity of their actions. The doctor is violating his own Hippocratic Oath by aborting babies. Surely he's better off saving lives, rather than taking them!

And the product of rape isn't guilty of any crime. Why punish her for the sins of her father? My own mother was the result of a rape. She lived a full and happy life. What right does anyone have to take that away?

There is no murder because there is no baby!

If someone is against abortion, great, don't have one. You have no right to make that decision for anyone else. The decision to terminate a pregnancy is a personal decision and not your business.

Abortion is a legal procedure. Roe Vs. Wade is secure.

Give me a break, how stupid are you people? Do you think that an abortion will prevent a soul from being born if God wants that soul to be born? Use some common sense here.

Last time I checked I was allowed to have an opinion.

Should Christians not oppose murder if the victim was a Christian?

See how ridiculous that sounds?

God's plan for the child is destroyed through abortion.

All the people that this child would love, help and nurtured are destroyed as well. Remember no one acts in isolation. All actions effect others around them.

It is why I strongly oppose the death of an innocent child. Our future is destroyed with the infant.

Merry Christmas! Sing Noel.

When Christian says no to abortions they are helping the baby.

We don't believe in killing an innocent life.

You never know that baby can grow up to be a doctor, lawyer, or someone famous.

It is called standing up for what is right.
Defending the word of God- and not supporting something we do not believe in or agree with.

Do you oppose murder? Or do you sit back and say "Ahh who cares, if someone wants to kill, let em"
