I need a recipe for cookies, that I've never made before. I tried one last month, when another memeber of the club I belong to made them. They were were like sugar cookies in color, but never brown when baked in the oven, they never flatten during the baking, if enough flour is used, and they're round. Warm, right out of the oven, they taste like delicous butter biscuits.I'm told they're Russian. I could search for the recipe on my own, if someone could please tell me, the name of these cookies. Thanks!

Thank you Sea and all. I found out recently, they were made with cream cheese. Unfortunately, the person who told me that recently wasn't the person who made them.

This a cookie bar recipe soooooooooo simple and soooooooo damn good !!!

Layer a cake pan with graham or saltine crackers (yes either cracker will work wonderfully!! ). Melt 2 sticks of butter with 1 cup of brown sugar and a dash of salt. Pour this over the crackers evenly and bake for 17 minutes at 350*. Remove from oven and sprinkle with chocolate chips or any chocolate chunks you desire. Wait a few minutes for chocolate to melt then spread out over the entire bar. Let cool completely, cut ans serve.

I hope you love them as much as we do. SO simply and very few ingredients !!

Merry CHRISTmas !!!!!!

Are you thinking of Russian/Mexican wedding cakes. They are small cookies made with powdered sugar and butter and rolled in powdered sugar. They are extremely common and there are tons of recipes but they are normally called Mexican wedding cakes/cookies.
