I am moving out in 5 years, and the first thing I want is a dog. I'm considering a small dog like a Chihuahua, or even a medium dog like a Samoyed. My other dog, who is a Norigeon Ridgeback mixed with a Black lab will be with me because he is only nine, but I would also like to have another dog. Please help me choose a breed! If you have any info. on your suggestion, please give it to me. Thanks!

The only dogs I don't want are Pitbulls, mountain dogs, and hairless dogs. Anything else is fine...

I've heard that Collies are really protective of children, and that they are loyal. I really want chlidren when I grow up...but they are kind of large, and they shed....

Ok, thanks everybody! I think I'm going to get a French Bulldog. When you say they're expensive. how expensive do you mean? Like $50-300, or $800+?

Get a French Bulldog. They are expensive to purchase, but they are great little dogs. They are great with other dogs and children, and they don't bark much (only when something is there). I think that they are worth every penny that you pay for them. Also, they don't shed very much.

You should try getting a beagle. They are great dogs, great with children, very loyal. Beagles are said to be stubborn but all of the beagles I've had, which is six, were not stubborn. They are so adorable, don't need a lot of grooming, very lovable and affectionate.

i may be what i'm now, a good ol' American blended breed. i may be severe, have a good paintings ethic, and opt to stay in a good working residing house. If I have been saved as in basic terms a puppy in a fenced backyard, i may be digging super holes and barking through shear boredom of all of it. i might opt to be taken places, to earnings new issues, and to verify people. i may be friendly yet reserved and not aggressive. i may be very unswerving to my loving proprietor and to the my family members. My seem may be popular. No extremes, possibly a medium or double coat. very equivalent to a go between a spaniel and a shepherd. shade black possibly brown with a splash white trim. i may be acceptable to seem at and amazing to touch. i might problaby weight 50-60#.

I really depends on what you're looking for in a dog: Size, amount of hair, easy-to-train, non-allergenic, cheap, playful, companionship, will sleep while you're at work...I myself have a basset hound, and she is an amazing animal, but it really depends upon what qualities you want your dog to have.
