I'm in this relationship and all kinds of bad things have happened to where I'm not in love with my guy anymore. I'm very comfortable with him but I know I'm not in love with him anymore. I'm sad because...well you know its sad when things have to come to end but I know it would be best. What makes me feel even worse is I feel as if he needs me. He doesnt have any REAL friends and very little POSITIVE family members. I've asked a couple people and they've told me it would be wrong of me to leave him over the holidays,even dangerous due to the fact that many people get lonely and suicidal during holidays. I agree. What sucks is I've actually met another guy. Hes super sweet totally goofy and all that jazz plus hes interested in me. He knows I'm in a relationship and knows I'm not gonna leave my bf, right now at least. I dont expect him to wait for me, but I dont want him to be the one that got away.

Do him a favor... leave him now... at least you can give him a chance of getting a refund on whatever he got you for Christmas.

You already know that you need to leave him , but if it makes you feel a little better inside , wait 5 more days,, nothing is going to change before then, Tell the new guy that you are feelin , what's up.. Tell him you guys will be able to see what's up with you and him by the New Year, you have some things you have to take care of .. There is nothing wrong with that,,and if he likes you he will wait a week and 1/2,, nothing serious should be happening between you two anyway before then.. Well depending on how you get down, anyway tell your current guy that things have changed since you started dateing, and now you are no longer happy, You have to look out for you, and do what makes you happy, let him know that you will always be there for him as a friend if needed.. but you have go to go your seperate ways

You can't just be with a guy because you feel sorry for him. That only hurts the both of you in the long run. To be honest, all that you just said right now were the reasons I didn't leave my ex. I knew that it didn't feel "right" for me the first year I was with him, and I ended up staying with him 5 years too long and it only got worse between us. And that whole thing about him becoming suicidal, if he does kill himself, he was going to do it already, and it isn't because of you, that's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.

I've been in that same situation before, and you have to do what's best for you. Even though it's the hardest thing in the world, 'cause you can't help it but feel like a total b*tch! You have to be true to this guy though, you know?

The only thing possible is to tell your boyfriend you need a break but also tell him that you will spend the holidays with him. That way you can have your cake and eat it to.
