I would pull out, our presents is only putting off the civil war that we have laid the foundation for. This war is smoking up the true issues; how bad the economy is, and that GWB is only letting it get worse!
Bush must stay, other wise Chanie becomes president and he would be worse. I also voted for GWB the first time around-but not the second time. Bush paid to have my company send my high pay job to Brazil, now I am loosing every thing my family worked all these years for. BUSH IS AN IDIOT!

I'd probably do a lot worse than Bush.
I am not a Bush Hater though I do think he has made a great many mistakes (Who hasn't?). I do think he is trying to do the best thing he can (Anti-Bush Conspiracy nut cases can take a flying *****).

Just throwing more troops and money at the problem will not fix the situation (Didn't work in Vietnam either)

But the whole cut-and-Run deal the liberal idiots want to do is the STUPIDEST idea ever.

We need to clearly define our goals. Tell our troops what those goals are, and then let them do the job they know how to do if they would be allowed to do so. The biggest problem over there right now (as it was during Vietnam) is the idiotic micromanagement of combat tactics from a bunch of Armchair idiots far removed from the actual situation.
We need to stop second guessing our men and women in uniform and let them actually do the job we sent them into harms way to do. We also need to support them with the right tools for the job and make sure they have the equipment necessary to do it right and to do it safely.

First off, if I were President Bush, the first thing I would do would be get my two daughters signed up in the military. Not a cushy job in the reserves like daddy had, either, but a position overseas in either Iraq or Afghanistan.

Then I would have every one of my cabinet members who has a child/children of age to serve in the military do the same thing. If they refuse, then I'd fire them.

Then I would call for all members of congress to do the same. If there were any who refused, I'd make sure everyone knew about it. Democrats, Republicans, doesn't matter. Get their kids into Iraq and Afghanistan. Preferably somewhere where they are facing danger every day like our fighting troops face.

Once all the congresspeople, cabinet members and the President all have kids serving in the military in harm's way in Iraq, I have a hunch that the problems in Iraq would be worked out very quickly. Because "the war in Iraq" would be something real then to all our decision makers, not just an exercise in rhetoric.

Set a date for withdrawal - (soon)

Follow the schedule for withdrawal and get out on time.

I would simply tell the international community that the country has become a nest of terrorists (true) and there is no chance for a legitimate to be formed under these conditions. Therefore, we have reevaluated and decided against putting forth any additional resources into a hopeless cause.

I would have never started it in the first place. ...(not to mention any names)....but here's the solution....
I would call it an attempt to bring democracy to the region which has failed because of unseen insurgencies....then I would set up a police force made of Iraqi's with the best weapons and technological equipment needed to defend and uphold the law and then bring everyone home with the exception of some key figures to help with the transition to an Iraqi Government

Pull out all troops in six months and/or acknowledge it was an awfully grave mistake which should not be worsened, that is to say, the truth, if that is still possible after all.

Pull out every soldier from every country. Pull out of the UN. Become self sufficient. Line up every soldier on the borders and blow the hell out of anyone or anything that crosses into the US without permission and a thorough background check.

Screw being P.C. and screw people that don't give a damn about themselves let alone us. We have Americans dying in the streets, but people are more concerned about people in other countries that refuse to help themselves.

KIll every Iraq male on both Sunni and Shia sides. Then I would do the same to the Saudis and Iranians and Syrians just to avoid future trouble.

I'd pull out of Iraq and fix the things that are wrong in America. When the poverty, homelessness and crime are all wiped out, then I'd concentrate on other countries.
