Something that you took the time and energy into making yourself. Let her know she's special to you. Also, if you are a child then you should consider being nice to your siblings, that if you have siblings. It shows that you care about your parents enough and respect enough to do that in the first place. That would be the best gift ever, but you have to always try to be nice. It compliments your parents efforts in trying to raise you to be an acceptable person. Remember actions speak louder than words. Always do what is right, even if you're standing alone. Honesty is important, if you tell the truth your parents will be proud of you.

Someone in here said it: Mom's like homemade, thoughtful gifts. If that does not appeal to you, because of lack of time. Try buying her a Visa or Master card so she can buy anything she wants.

Does she need something for her hobby? Maybe a scrapbook with fotos from your life in the past twelve months. Or a book about a subject that she is interested in.

Lots of possibilities!

I always like to give Christmas ornaments when I don't know what to give someone. Pick one that represents something significant that happened in her life over the past year. It will mean a lot to her.

It depends on your mom. Me I gave my mom a picture book and I started it with pictures of her grandkids and me and my husband. We live in diffrent countries so she dosen't get to see us. I always try to do something personal.
