God is not and cannot be physical but purely Spiritual in essence...

That said, "in His own image" should be taken on a spiritual level as well, such as the embodiment of LOVE, MERCY, JUSTICE, RIGHTEOUSNESS, PEACE, JOY and COMPASSION...

Peace be with you.

God is all spirit- and became Jesus in the flesh, therefore he would look middle eastern- for that is where he came from, Jerusalem. But that is Jesus, and God has always been, so has Jesus but Jesus was just not born until the time God planned it.
John 1:1 says that he became flesh- which is Jesus. But God Himself is ALL spirit, and can do whatever He wills remember, so I know it is hard to picture and understand, because Jesus sits at the right hand of God....but God's ways are higher than our own. And we cannot solve every mystery of God- but to fully trust what His word says, and there are some mysteries God does reveal! Read Jeremiah 33:3 --it is a very encouraging verse from God and one of my favorites~

God created man in his image, not physically, but in the sense that we can walk, talk, and communicate, and learn. We are the only being on this earth who can do all those things with intelligence. Too bad people think knowledge is about learning everything possible about science, and why the world is round, and why we resemble monkeys, and why a certian fish has a certian type of tail. Do people not realize that that type of knowledge won't get them anywhere meaningful? Sure you'll get a good job being a scientist, but money runs out, and money won't give you an eternity in Paradise.

I have no idea what God or Jesus looked like, Jesus was a man. I believe that is a male and female God.

He certainly doesn't look anything like the "Biblical" Jesus, who appears to be a fairly modern, white hippie rather than a travel-stained, dark Jew.

I believe God is genderless, but there are female and male energies that make up the entirety of All That Is.

not quite. i am 90% sure that god created man in his own image and saw it was good--but the later story, when adam and eve eat the fruit they are given knowledge, which in turn is what made humans be bad or good, or hippies or ect. but as far as the "image " thing goes. its not ltieral. god createds MAN in his own image, and WOMAN from the rib of man. or soimethjing like that. i think in his own image is metophoric for giving man some of the same abilities and gifts that god had/has

I don't think Jesus "looks" like our Heavenly Father - I would say 'image' more means a physical body, ten fingers and toes, hair, etc...
God is an exalted man. He was once as we are now. He had to go through an "earthly" experience, attain godhood and eventually created his own spirit children and world. I believe we have a Heavenly Father AND Mother.
I want to share the lyrics to one of my favorite hymns:

O, My Father
O my Father, thou that dwellest In the high and glorious place,
When shall I regain thy presence And again behold thy face?
In thy holy habitation, Did my spirit once reside?
In my first primeval childhood, Was I nurtured near thy side?

For a wise and glorious purpose Thou hast placed me here on earth
And withheld the recollection Of my former friends and birth;
Yet ofttimes a secret something Whispered,"You're a stranger here,"
And I felt that I had wandered From a more exalted sphere.

I had learned to call thee Father, Thru thy Spirit from on high,
But, until the key of knowledge Was restored, I knew not why.
In the heav'ns are parents single? No, the thought makes reason stare!
Truth is reason, truth eternal Tells me I've a mother there.

When I leave this frail existence, When I lay this mortal by,
Father, Mother, may I meet you In your royal courts on high?
Then, at length, when I've completed All you sent me forth to do,
With your mutual approbation Let me come and dwell with you.

That is one of my most favorite hymns because I feel there is a glimpse of our live from start to finish.

Jesus is the son of God. He was Jewish and a human being like us.

God does not have a gender because he does not reproduce. He had to make Jesus am male so the people of the time would listen to him.

God created man as a spirit being. God is Spirit, and that's the image of God in man. Sin separated us from God and tarnished His image in us, and that's why Christ died, so that we could be restored to a right relationship with Him.

It says in Our own image. This is indicative of the royalty that is in Heaven, and may include all those who are, indeed, are in Heaven when they die. Jesus was always fully God and fully man, thus, human beings.
