It is certain to be a pain on the left side, mid section high. The diagnosis should be made by your physician, after he looks at you ask you more questions and does more tests, he will give you a diagnosis and medicine if necessary. go and see him ASAP.

I'm a nurse. It could be a number of things. I would try using a heating had or hot water bottle, or even cold pack could be a bag of veggies (which ever you prefer hot or cold) and see if that helps. Also try some ibprofen. If you are still having problems then see a doctor. I don't think that it's nothing to worry about but you want to know what's causing the pain. Take care.

Well anatomically speaking, there isn't a whole lot there to cause pain, other than the large intestine, or if the pain were in the back and a bit higher than midline, the kidney. So, I'm guessing here, but I'd bet the problem is gas or constipation.

It could be fecal matter stuck in your upper intestines...
Get a Colonic (hydro-therapy) a colon cleansing...should do the trick...but they are about $80 per session.

it could be gas indgestion or your ribs at the worst might be liver also if it is sharp then it is probally the first 2 and if it is real bad then it is probaly the other ones and all.
