i use to get ear infections all the time when i was younger.
lay your head on a warm water bottle or place a cotton ball gently in your outter ear. keeping the ear warm helps a lot.
and take tylenol for the pain.
if you don't notice any improvement in 3 days you should see a doctor for anitbiotics. but, i would wait.....people take anitbiotics too freely.
as for the comment about "that's why we have doctors"
if only everything were so simple....unfortunately not everyone is from cananda and unfortunately not everyone can afford $100 for 15 minutes of a doctors time.
good luck with the ear!

Unless someone has checked you ear are you sure you have an ear infection? You can try using tea tree oil on a cotton ball but I would have someone check your ear first to be sure you really do have an ear infection.

How do you know it is an infection, and not just an irritation? The point is, you don't. That is why we have doctors. See one.

you don't have to get antibiotics from the doctor but it would be nice to get them to prescribe ear drops (I think they are a steroid).
