Where do you find hope when everything goes wrong no matter how hard you try? I tried therapy, self-help book, hobbies, prayers, writing journals.
I know I shouldn't say this as a Christian. But I wonder why God put me in this world in the first place if my life has to be this painful, unendurable.
Yes, I could have tried harder. But I tried strenuously to stay away from drugs, alcohol, tobacco, sex.
But I couldn't overcome severe depression which soon caused lust problem. I only wish I could live normal life.
How can God let anyone live like this? I feel like I lost all my hope not just in me, but God as well. He should let me die from car accident or something if He has bit amount of sympathy for me.
He never listened to my pleas anyway.

It may surprise you to know that the vast majority of people have feelings similiar to yours at one point in their lives. After all, life can be very, very difficult sometimes. I certainly have experienced my share of "everything is going wrong" times in my life.

What I know is that we are much, much stronger than we know. We have the ability to withstand a lot of adversity and still come out better people for having gone through whatever we've gone through. I also know that it's not our problems that is the problem, it's our perceptions of our problems - how we deal with them, how we go about trying to solve them. Also very important is how we not only view God but our relationship with Him as we go through difficult periods in our lives.

I don't understand why God allows us to go through the dark periods in our lives, but I know God walks with us as we face them. I know He never leaves us, although sometimes it seems as if He has. I know God has a plan for all of our lives, and that He will use even the dark periods and the times we feel we have totally wasted our lives as an avenue to bring about redemption and restoral to every area of who we are.

Life really can threaten to take us out of the game sometimes. I know - I've experienced it. What I have decided is that I will never give up. Even when it seems like all hope is lost, I will keep hoping anyway.

God hears your pleas, my friend. He may even be trying to get your attention, but your heart has to be open to receive what God is trying to tell you. Scripture tells us that if we seek God, we will find Him and He will comfort us in our greatest need.

God created you and has a plan for your life. Talk to someone about how you're feeling. Don't feel like because you're a Christian, you shouldn't be having feelings like this.

Right now, it seems like you're viewing your life from a perception of pain and depression. Try stepping outside of the depression and try to see life from a different perspective. Notice the little things - the way the sun feels on your face or shoulders, the way the leaves on the trees dance in the breeze. Just the little things that we overlook. So many people are struggling these days. Do something nice for someone else. Maybe you have an elderly neighbor you could run an errand for, or just buy them some flowers. If they're on a fixed budget, maybe just buy that neighbor a few groceries, or cut their lawn. Just do something to get yourself out of yourself for a second and make someone else happy with some small gesture.

Boy, do I ever know where you're coming from. But, God has a plan for your life. You may not feel comforted now, but, believe me, don't give up and one day you will find and experience the comfort you seek. And, because of what you've gone through, it will feel all the more precious.

Whatever you do, don't play God. My older sister felt this exact same way a few years back. EVERYTHING in her life was screwed up: she was diagnosed with OCD, depression, anxiety, you name it. She also got in trouble with the law (DUI, shoplifting) and wanted to end her life. She felt nobody cared about her, my parents were so disappointed in her, it was horrible. She got her life together, though. That's the important thing...YOU have to decide when you are no longer going to live your life through this perspective and change. Whether you begin going to church, volunteering, do whatever it is that you find even the smallest amount of joy in (but make it something possible, not a one-night-stand or something like that) and work really hard. GO TO THE MOVIE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS! You will get inspiration!! Good luck!!

You could be suffering what is known as the dark night of the soul.

Sometimes God puts a true follower of His through severe trials where everything goes wrong and He seems to disappear from life.

This is a well known phenomena in mystical theology, and God puts souls on that way whom He wishes to bring to very close union with Him.

It is a very profound purification of the soul.

Just keep trusting and praying, and at the right time, God will bring you out of it.

The rewards in the end of surviving that trial by fire are beyond your imagination.

Good Lord! Don't pay attention to any negative answers. I know this probably won't help, but you can't blame God for your problems--God gave us free will--he doesn't control what happens on this earth. and He Loves You!!!! Always remember that...when I am sad, and I can't say I have ever been depressed, but I get down sometimes, I just remember that someone loved me so much He died for me: Jesus. He Loves you, too, and everyone else. God is crying for the hurt you have to endure, but have faith because you will be rewarded in Heaven. That is our fate as humans--to suffer, but it is all worth it in the end.

But, if this didn't help, remember no matter how bad it gets, someday it will be better. Be Strong, Fight Temptation, and Try to find the good things in your life--Remember: "This too shall pass".

no he will not listen to you plead. sart being a bit bolder when you go before God. All you have to do is believe that God is more than able to meet your needs. Also being happy is just a decision you make. if you have to make that decision every morning so be it remember this is the day that the lord has made lets rejoice and be glad in it. check out www.joelosteen.com

I'm sorry to hear that you are having a hard life. Unfortunately, God gives us room to live our lives. It's not so much that He is doing this to you but maybe He's allowing it for a reason. I know it may sound dumb and hard to see but in the end... you will come thru victorious.

Your problem is not trusting in what Jesus did for you. You truly truly have nothing to complain about if you are really saved in Jesus Christ. I know we all complain and get down, but to hear this question sounds more far fetched than a normal "bad day" for a christian. God hears prayers of those who love Him. You need to CLING to the cross and believe in what Christ did for you- that he has set you free from this world and sin...you are forgiven through Him and that needs to become a reality to you. Have you really poured out your heart to Him? Sometimes we just have to wait on God....And the waiting may last a long time, but in the end you will be the one rejoicing. For this life on earth is nothing compared to our eternal home with Christ in Heaven. Look at the things above, not here on earth. Keep your mind focused on Jesus! I truly remind myself when I am in a bad mood or depressed that I have NOTHING to complain about...I have Jesus Christ! Sometimes God's answer is not what we want, but it is better- and He will change our hearts through it- Keep praying that the Lord would change your heart to please Him...that is where you need to start- Humble yourself in sight of Him.

As James 4:6 says "God is opposed to the proud but gives grace to the humble"
And about waiting on the Lord:

Psalm 27:14
Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.

Psalm 33:20
We wait in hope for the LORD; he is our help and our shield.

Psalm 37:7
Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.

And one of my favorites: Lamentations 3:25 "The Lord is good to those who love Him, to the soul who seeks Him"

(maybe you are seeking your own wants through Him, and not truly surrendering to Him and His will)

i go to a bit in daniel where it talks about this man who is about to be thrown into a furnace (cant get much more no hope) and he says god will protect me and even if he doesn't i won't do what you say because god is better and i will serve even if he does not save me.
and i think that that says no matter how bad things are god is still god still loving and still caring

He helps those who helps themselves. And all it takes to change the negativity in your thoughts is a slight adjustment in your perception of people and things. Nobody is put here to suffer.

Stir things up a little. Change your room, your house, your thoughts, your free time. Get rid of friends who are not good for you. Reconnect with people you love.
