Plain and simple politics my friend. Biffle was steadily gaining popularity which in turn created positive revenue. Our government in not going to step off in the deep water of trying to explain why they are turning a profit through sports sponsorships so they went the safe route and chose Mears. How much revenue do you think he will generate?

Probably Casey Mears because he is a talented driver and is only getting better. That, and of course he's with Hendricks now.

It wasn't so much that the National guard dropped Biffle. It was the fact that the racing team he was with fired him and they actually have the sponsorship.
